We also automatically collect certain device information, including your IP address, browser type, and usage patterns when you interact with our platform.

• Process donations and withdrawals
• Verify the identity (KYC) of campaign organisers
• Send transaction confirmations and campaign updates
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Improve our platform and user experience

3. Sharing Your Information

• Campaign organisers, when you donate (unless you choose to give anonymously)
• Payment processors (Pesapal) to complete transactions
• Identity-verification providers for KYC checks
• Law enforcement, when legally required

4. Anonymous Donations

If you choose to donate anonymously, your name will not be displayed publicly. The campaign organiser and Ubuntu Pool staff may still receive information about you for fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Verification documents are purged 30 days after approval. Transaction records are retained for 7 years, as required by Ugandan law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@ubuntupool.com to exercise these rights; we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookie settings in your browser.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Our payment processor is PCI-DSS compliant, and we never store raw card numbers.

9. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of Ubuntu Pool after changes constitutes acceptance.
