Delete your account
You can request to delete your Ubuntu Pool account at any time. Please read the important information below before proceeding.
Withdraw any remaining funds first
Before deleting your account, make sure you have withdrawn all available funds from your campaigns. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to any remaining balance. Unclaimed funds may be forfeited.
Close or pause your active campaigns
Go to your dashboard and pause or close any active campaigns. This stops new donations from being collected. Donors who have already given will not be affected.
Contact support to request deletion
Account deletion is processed manually by our team. Send an email to support@ubuntupool.com from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Include your full name and the reason for deletion.
Verification step
Our team will verify your identity before processing the deletion. We may ask you to confirm your request by replying to a verification email or providing additional information.
What gets deleted
Your personal profile, login credentials, and private data are permanently deleted. Your name is removed from public campaign pages and donor lists.
What is retained for compliance
Financial records, donation history, and transaction logs are retained for up to 7 years as required by Ugandan financial regulations. This data is kept securely and is not used for any other purpose.
Tip
If you are deleting your account because of a specific issue, consider contacting support first. We may be able to resolve the problem without you losing access to your account and campaign history.
