Trust & Safety
Your trust is our most important asset.
We've built every layer of Ubuntu Pool with security, transparency, and accountability at the core.
How we protect you
Verified Organisers
Every organiser must complete identity verification (KYC) before funds are released. We verify national IDs, passports, and cause-specific documents like medical invoices and hospital letters.
Secure Payments
All transactions use bank-level TLS encryption. Payment data is processed by Pesapal, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We never store raw card numbers.
Transparent Tracking
Organisers are required to post milestone updates showing how funds are being used. Donors can see exactly where their money went through our real-time ledger.
Community Reporting
Any user can report a suspicious campaign. Our trust team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Campaigns under review are flagged and withdrawals are paused pending investigation.
Giving Guarantee
If fraud is confirmed on a campaign you donated to, we guarantee a full refund for up to one year from the date of donation. No questions asked.
24/7 Local Support
Our trust and safety team is based in Kampala and is available via WhatsApp, phone, and email. We speak English and Luganda.
The Ubuntu Pool Giving Guarantee
If you donate to a campaign that turns out to be fraudulent, we will refund your donation in full, for up to one year from the date of your donation. No forms, no waiting, no hassle.
