Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By using Ubuntu Pool, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ubuntu Pool, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or start a campaign. By using our platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Campaign Rules

Campaigns must be truthful and not misleading, and funds raised must be used for the stated purpose. Organisers must complete identity verification (KYC) before withdrawing funds. We reserve the right to review, pause, or remove campaigns that violate these terms or our community guidelines.

5. Donations

Donations are voluntary contributions. A small, transparent platform fee is deducted from each donation to cover payment processing and platform costs. All donations are final unless fraud is confirmed under our Giving Guarantee.

6. Withdrawals

Campaign organisers may request withdrawals of available funds. All withdrawal requests require admin approval and are subject to a minimum withdrawal amount. Approved withdrawals are typically processed within 3–5 business days.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Ubuntu Pool for illegal activities, money laundering, terrorism financing, or any purpose that violates Ugandan law. Accounts engaging in prohibited activities will be suspended immediately.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content is owned by Ubuntu Pool or its licensors. Campaign content remains the property of the organiser, but you grant us a licence to display and promote your campaign on our platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

Ubuntu Pool is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
